Microsoft 365 Administrator

The Office 365 Administrator contributes to our mission by supporting the day-to-day technology and support needs of the team and serving as an escalation point for complex troubleshooting needs.

Responsibilities*
  • Experience with design, implementation, and operations of Microsoft 365, and hybrid Azure AD / Active Directory services.
  • Management of Office 365 email users, distributions lists, data retention policies, email & data security, and email routing.
  • Configuration of Azure SSO integrations, and automated user onboarding / offboarding.
  • Diverse, multi-discipline experience, collaborating with other IT teams in different areas (e.g. networks, messaging, desktop management, DevOps, SecOps, etc.) with proven track record of managing operations including SLAs, IT controls, regular system audits and maintenance.
  • Monitoring O365 alerts, service response plan, license management, reports, review security / compliance needs and usage metrics.
  • Formulate and create Office 365 SharePoint sites for domain users and external client access
  • Administer and support Office 365 Azure policies
  • Maintain a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring
  • Assist with the migration of data into the Office 365 cloud platform and Office 365 SharePoint
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to cloud services
  • Design and implement directory synchronization, federation services, password synchronization and multi-forest / domain management.
  • Management of SharePoint Online, One Drive, Teams, AzureAD, and other Microsoft 365 ecosystem applications.
  • Experience with Information protection tools, data classification labels, label alerts and analytics, IRM for workloads and DLP.
  • Support Security and Compliance – NIST 700, CMMC 2.0, Patch management
  • Support of the backup technologies and monitoring solutions.
  • Support Anti-Virus Solutions and provide reports on the overall health of the environment.
  • Review and manage Microsoft 365 security alerts Plan and implement threat protection with Microsoft Defender.
  • General Windows Server (2016+) administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required in addition to the ability to effectively develop and deliver presentations to leadership.
  • Diagnose system errors and resolve problems with networks (including wired and wireless, cabling, routing, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Utilize existing IT management systems (Azure, Intune, etc.) to maximize the delivery & efficiency of services
Experience and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years related experience or 6+ years professional experience in a tech/IT support role in a corporate environment
  • Hands-on experience with desktop troubleshooting (both Microsoft Windows and Apple Operating Systems)
  • Extensive experience supporting end-users in Office 365, networking issues and related audio-visual (AV) support
  • Microsoft Azure understanding and functional experience
  • Office 365 SharePoint Administrator experience
  • Experience implementing and supporting InTune
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications a plus
  • Expertise with PowerShell
  • Expertise with Azure AD, Active Directory r
  • Experience with installation and support for Creo, MatLab, MathCad, Costpoint, etc. is a plus
  • Familiarity with Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager,
  • Familiarity with DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP
  • Demonstrated patience with a non-technical audience and ability to walk end-users through troubleshooting from a remote location
