RCT Systems, Power Systems Division, seeks a motivated Operations Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our manufacturing and assembly operations in power electronics, energy storage, and power conversion projects. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes for parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
Key responsibilities include:
• Reading, understanding, and creating engineering and manufacturing artifacts.

Assembly:
• Assemble components, line replaceable units, sub-assemblies, and full-up systems into cabinets, along with other support hardware for power conversion applications and energy storage systems.
• Demonstrate strong aptitude and understanding of the intricacies of assembling a mix of mechanical and electrical subassemblies and components.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, maintaining a safety-first approach in all operations.
Build/Production Skills:
• Consistently demonstrate a safety-first mindset.
• Show proficiency in mechanical/electrical aptitude, understanding the intricacies of assembling mechanical and electrical subassemblies and components.
• Read, understand, and execute instructions and procedures from work orders.
• Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings, electrical schematics, and wire tabs, and develop build aids, shop aids, and other documentation from engineering drawings.
• Maintain detailed written and computerized records of work performed.
• Demonstrate strong understanding and proper use of hand and electrical tools along with any special tooling.
• Work with raw materials such as aluminum or steel to fabricate and assemble subassemblies and/or make limited in-house modifications as required.
• Understand and interpret engineering terminology effectively.
• Have experience with various voltage power applications and solutions (MV experience is a plus).
Testing and Support:
• Support the testing of power conversion and energy storage systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electronics/electrical engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead others and manage resources.
• Ability to organize, delegate, and monitor work to stay on schedule.
• Experience in providing supervision to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of work products.
• Expertise in monitoring and evaluation functions.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with management, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in compiling and analyzing data and providing recommendations.
• Capability to analyze manufacturing, assembly, and build processes and drive effectiveness.
