This role supports a government sponsor in modernizing and enhancing enterprise SharePoint systems, including deploying SharePoint Subscription Edition and improving overall system architecture. It also includes systems engineering support across Windows, Linux, and secure (PKI) environments.
Key Responsibilities
SharePoint Development & Administration
Assess and validate SharePoint and web requirements
Redesign and enhance existing SharePoint applications (performance, scalability, stability)
Build and manage SharePoint sites and workflows
Provide ongoing maintenance (O&M) and content management
Manage user roles, permissions, and site configurations
Systems Engineering
Analyze complex system requirements
Support business process improvement and modernization efforts
Help define standards for IT systems and procedures
Work with secure, compliant environments (DISA/STIG/SRG)
Use DevOps practices and automation (Infrastructure as Code)
Experience as a Site Collection Administrator (SCA)
SharePoint workflows, migrations, configuration, and optimization
User support and requirements gathering
Security+ certification (or equivalent)
Systems engineering experience across Windows/Linux
Automation, scripting, and DevOps tools
Documentation and secure system design experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Skills
SharePoint architecture/backend experience
SharePoint Administrator or Designer certifications
Experience with containers and risk frameworks (RMF/ICD 503)
Project management experience
Creating user documentation and training materials
