Cloud Solutions Architect - $283K MAX

Chantilly, VA
This position supports a customer focused on human capital management technologies, workforce services, and analytics platforms that drive business decision-making. The role blends cloud architecture, systems engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure operations, and emerging technology integration.

Core Responsibilities
  • Architect, implement, and maintain secure AWS cloud environments
  • Perform system upgrades, operations & maintenance, and Tier 1–3 support
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Build secure, privacy-focused internet-based systems designed to reduce user tracking exposure
  • Integrate emerging technologies such as AI, AR/VR, mobile platforms, and analytics into enterprise architectures
  • Manage PKI infrastructure, including Root and Subordinate Certificate Authorities
  • Support hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure, monitoring, and compliance efforts
  • Create technical procedures, conduct demos, and brief users/leadership

Key Requirements
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph required

  • Strong AWS experience:
    • EC2
    • RDS / Aurora
    • S3
    • Elastic Load Balancer
    • Route 53
    • CloudFormation
  • Cloud security:
    • IAM roles
    • Security Groups
    • KMS encryption
  • Cloud storage management:
    • S3 buckets
    • EBS volumes
Systems & Infrastructure
  • Windows, Linux/CentOS administration
  • Apple macOS and iOS environments
  • Database administration and scalability:
    • MySQL
    • AWS RDS
    • Aurora
  • Monitoring/alerting:
    • Datadog
    • CloudWatch
  • PKI architecture and certificate management
Scripting & Development
  • Basic proficiency in:
    • Python
    • Bash
    • Ruby on Rails

Desired Skills
  • DevSecOps experience
  • A&A / accreditation compliance support
  • Splunk logging in hybrid environments
  • Extron device configuration
  • Additional Apple ecosystem administration experience
