Multi-Cloud Engineer - $279k MAX

Chantilly, VA
This position supports highly secure broadcast systems in a cloud engineering capacity with significant programming and system administration responsibilities. The engineer will maintain, troubleshoot, automate, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure supporting broadcast operations while ensuring high levels of security and reliability.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for mission-critical broadcast systems.
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot secure cloud environments.
  • Develop automation and tooling using programming and scripting languages.
  • Administer Linux-based systems, including patching, upgrades, and testing.
  • Configure and manage AWS services and APIs.
  • Support cloud-based media and broadcast workflows.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, monitoring, and operational improvements.

Required Technical Skills
  • Secure cloud networking and cloud infrastructure.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • AWS cloud services and API integrations.
  • Programming and scripting:
    • Python
    • C++
    • Linux shell scripting
    • Windows shell scripting
    • Perl
  • Operating systems:
    • Linux (especially RHEL)
    • Android
  • System administration:
    • Server installation and maintenance
    • Patching and firmware upgrades
    • Testing across firmware and patch versions
  • Cloud engineering:
    • AWS MediaLive
    • DynamoDB automation
    • Cloud troubleshooting and monitoring tools

Preferred Skills
  • Broadcast and communications technologies:
    • Satellite communications
    • Terrestrial television
    • AM/FM radio systems
  • Video technologies:
    • Video codecs
    • Streaming technologies
    • Video encoding systems
  • Broadcast equipment installation and operations.
  • IP networking, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with specialized TV/radio transmission systems and remote broadcast devices.
