Software Developer (Systems Software) [Open Level] - $242k MAX

Chantilly, VA
Develop and support component-based software services that integrate with multiple mission applications and frameworks. Build AI/ML-enabled solutions, cloud applications, APIs, and data pipelines while supporting mission-critical software projects.

Required Skills
  • Strong Python development experience, including data science libraries.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as:
    • scikit-learn
    • SpaCy
    • TensorFlow
    • PyTorch
    • Keras
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP).
  • AWS cloud development.
  • Building and consuming REST APIs/services.
  • SQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Search technologies including ICQL and RetrievalWare.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Software and systems engineering.
  • Project planning and project management.
  • Systems analysis and technology design.
  • Troubleshooting across multi-security environments (high-side/low-side).
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mission software tools and integrations.
  • Build ETL pipelines and data processing solutions.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning and Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
  • Create RESTful microservices using Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
  • Support cloud operations, software maintenance, and performance optimization.
  • Implement monitoring tools such as Prometheus and MLflow for production ML systems.
  • Gather requirements, design solutions, perform testing, fix defects, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and customers to deliver mission-focused software.
