Data Scientist - $229K – $254K

Chantilly, VA

Seeking a Data Scientist to support the development of new system capabilities, maintain and extend bulk data pipelines, and enhance applications within a cloud computing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in big data processing, ETL development, data quality analysis, and analytics reporting.

Required Qualifications

Proficiency in Python, Spark, PySpark, SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Experience with data mapping, extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and integration of structured and unstructured data.
Experience with XML, JSON, Regular Expressions (RegEx), and data modeling using notebooks and Visual Studio.
Ability to develop analytic reports, dashboards, and metrics using CloudWatch, Kibana, and system log data.
Experience performing data quality reviews and developing ETL design documentation, source-to-target mappings, and data dictionaries.
Strong communication skills to clarify customer requirements, collaborate with integration partners, and support Agile development.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Databricks, Amazon EMR, and complex Spark batch and streaming workloads.
Proficiency in Python data analysis libraries, including Pandas.
Experience with AWS services, including Lambda, SNS/SQS, EC2, DynamoDB, and RDS.
Familiarity with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and notebook-based data pipelines.
