RCT Systems is looking for a self-motivated Systems Admin who would be responsible for translating business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Provides direction for design activities. 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business administration or a related field.
  • Experience with Linux administration required. The CentOS brand of Linux is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems (Red Hat / CentOS 6/7, Windows 7/10, Server 2008, Server 2012).
  • 3-5 years of experience configuring, operating and maintaining web servers (Apache HTTP Server, Microsoft IIS, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Tomcat).
  • 3-5 years of experience in the IC, with at least 2 years of experience utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) for computing and storage services.
  • 5-10 years of experience testing/conducting trial runs of programs and software applications.
  • 5-10 years of experience debugging complex application problems.
  • 5-10 years of experience maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • 5-10 years of experience testing and evaluating hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Shell scripting to automate tasks.
  • Ability to lockdown or mitigate vulnerabilities in servers and workstations from security scan results.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify errors in scripts and applications (php, python, ruby).
