RCT Systems is looking for a Junior Level SharePoint Developer. The Junior Web developer will assist in SharePoint administration and development of Counter Proliferation Sites. The developer will be a member of a team that actively develops and maintains high traffic, high visibility SharePoint sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Experience with content management systems, i.e., SharePoint collaboration, content management, search, lists, libraries, alerts and list forms
• Work collaboratively with and engage in regular and sustained client interaction, encompassing both formal and informal presentations
• Work with business leaders to understand their needs and expand the use of SharePoint to address business needs
• Customize look and feel of websites using html CSS and SharePoint Designer
• Provide web master support to customer web sites to include update of site content as directed by customer
• Manage presentation of content and link reviews to ensure data/link integrity is maintained on customer web sites.
• Participate in processes concerning the architecture of new applications to meet client needs
• Helps to establish best practices and standards regarding the development environment
• Prepare and compose technical/non-technical documentation briefings and presentations
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
 
Duties: Solves complex application development problems. Provides technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with schedules. Responsible for developing and implementing applications. Develops plans for Information Technology (IT) systems from project inception to conclusion. Analyzes the problem and the information to be processed. Defines the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests. Coordinates with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program according to system specifications. Develops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions. Prepares test plans and test data to test the proposed systems.
 
Mandatory Skills
  1. Minimum 1 year academic experience, personal experience, and/or training providing updates, posts and end user support of SharePoint 2010 or SharePoint 2013 sites. 
  2. Minimum 1 year academic experience, personal experience, and/or training building custom workflows, search, lists, libraries, alerts and list forms. 
  3. Academic experience, personal experience, and/or training with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. 
  4. Academic experience, personal experience, and/or training improving the user experience, including navigation, branding and customization. 
  5. Minimum 1 year academic experience, personal experience, and/or training managing and administering end user access permissions for Enterprise level SharePoint sites with a mixture of inherited and customized permission groups and roles for multiple sites.
 
Desired Skills

1. Academic experience, personal experience, and/or training as a Junior SharePoint Developer on large site collections or experience developing complex SharePoint solutions to satisfy design objectives.
2. Ability to work independently and/or as a team member, without close supervision, on a wide range of projects.
3. Academic experience, personal experience, and/or training with the Adobe suite of graphics including Photoshop and Fireworks. 4. Minimum 1 year academic experience, personal experience, and/or training assuming responsibility and troubleshooting legacy SharePoint or other websites created by previous development teams.
5. Ability to understand and work with a variety of scripting languages and frameworks like JavaScript, XML/XSLT, HTML or CSS.
6. Minimum 1 year academic experience, personal experience, and/or training assuming responsibility and troubleshooting legacy SharePoint or other websites created by previous development teams.
7. Demonstrated experience exhibiting communication, analytical and effective consulting skills.
