Automated Tester - $177K – $192K
Reston, VARCT seeks an Automated Tester to support a 200+ person technical development program focused on Identity and Access Management (IdAM/ICAM) and related security systems. The tester ensures reliability, security, and availability of IT systems through automated and manual testing within a DevOps environment.

- Design, document, and execute automated and manual test plans for access control and authentication systems.
- Conduct system integration and user acceptance testing; create and manage automated test scripts (e.g., using JUnit, Selenium, Katalon).
- Investigate issues, coordinate with developers, and document results.
- Manage test planning, execution, and reporting cycles for each deployment.
- Collaborate with engineers, customers, and QA teams to ensure compliance and quality.
- Support testing across the software lifecycle in a SecDevOps setting.
- BS + 11–15 years (or MS + 10–13 years) relevant experience; equivalent experience accepted.
- Expertise in automated testing (Selenium, Katalon).
- Strong grasp of software lifecycle processes and quality control.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (advanced degree preferred).
- Experience with Flyway, COTS platforms, AWS, and highly sensitive data.
- Background in unit testing, database migration, and SecDevOps environments.
