This senior-level RF Systems Engineer supports advanced communications systems by validating RF system performance, conducting analysis and testing, and ensuring successful system integration into operational environments. The role involves end-to-end RF engineering, including link analysis, interference mitigation, waveform validation, and modeling/simulation to support acquisition and development of cutting-edge communication technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Validate RF system performance through test, evaluation, and operational integration
Analyze RF capabilities and design reliable, high-quality RF links
Conduct RF interference analysis and provide mitigation recommendations
Perform systems engineering and trade studies for advanced RF/communications subsystems
Support development and validation of new waveform specifications
Develop technical reports and perform RF propagation modeling and simulation
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years, or Master’s with 10+ years of experience (4 additional years may substitute for a degree)
Strong experience in RF link budgets, interference analysis, and RF system validation
Solid foundation in communications systems theory and NTM systems
Expertise in waveform design, including LPI/LPD techniques, modulation, forward error correction, and interference mitigation
