RCT Systems, Power Systems Division, is seeking Electrical Engineers specializing in Power Electronics Control Design. More specifically, Power Electronics Control Engineers will be involved in:
- Design and test DSP based digital control algorithms, FPGA supported modulators, and PLC based high-level system controllers
- Design embedded control algorithms, harmonic compensators, software PLLs,
- Detailed PCB designs including SiC gate drivers, system control PCBs, and support hardware
- Develop Controller-Hardware-in-the-Loop test setups, control cards, and control algorithms
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in electrical engineering required, MS and PhDs a plus
- All experience levels considered – entry level to senior principal engineers
- Experience programming various microcontrollers and DSPs
- Experience applying embedded software to motor drives, ac-dc, and dc-ac converters
- Hand-on experience with OPAL-RT, Typhoon, or other HIL platforms a plus
- United States Citizenship required due to US Government ITAR program restrictions
Immediate Requirements/Projects include:
- High Power SiC and Silicon power device design into converters/inverters
- EMI/EMC MIL 461 Compliance and other MIL spec design requirements
- Multiple parallel/series connected bi-directional galvanically isolated AC/DC, DC/DC converters
- 13.8 kV and 4160V grid interface power converters
- MV Isolated DC-DC converters
- Power levels 50KW to 500KW converters/inverters that are linked together for higher power levels up in MWs
- Navy (surface & sub), Army vehicles and infrastructure, Aircraft potentially
- Space/RF not required
